The AGP-8-OR sixteen jaw o-ring installation gripper boasts independent spreading and ejecting mechanisms, with a 1.5-inch diameter through hole. Featuring two independent pistons, the spreading jaws are double acting while the ejector jaws are single acting. When air pressure is applied to the first piston, eight parallel jaws expand .55 inches each, shaping the o-ring into an octagon for easier insertion with minimal deformation. The second piston's air pressure pushes the ejector jaws forward .5 inches, releasing the o-ring onto the part being assembled or installed. Custom tooling accommodates various ring sizes, from the smallest fitting the inside diameter to a maximum of 12 inches in diameter depending on cross-section. End-of-stroke sensing is available for both spreading and ejecting jaws, with dimensions of 5 inches in diameter by 5 inches tall. The spreading jaws exert 200 lbs. force per jaw at 80 psi, while the ejector jaws deliver 320 lbs. @ 80 psi; 2D and 3D CAD models are available on our website.
