Large Modular Dice Tower
thingiverse
This is a larger version of my other dice tower here:\http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1156522\nI re-designed it to be suitable for people who enjoy rolling 20 or more dice at once (whatever their reason might be - I must admit, there's something quite satisfying about that). It requires slightly more real estate than the narrower version but prints in about three times as long. You don't need any supports; simply print out the parts and assemble them.\nThe only type of module is one with baffles in it, yet it seems to do its job well for most gamers (instead of having the arches and spirals like my other design). The baffle edges in this module are as close as 24mm so if you have dice longer than that along their longest axis they may get stuck. Everything else can just be poured into it, and there's no way to stop its tumbling action!\nI added an update on November 17th, 2015: I replaced the base piece with one having a taller exit so that even if a die lands near the ramp exiting out, it's still readable. Please discard the old base piece and use this new version called Base.stl instead (you're welcome to your feedback).\nDecember 10th, 2015 update: It looks like the base I added on November 17th had a poor junction parameter! I fixed it with a correct radius and uploaded the file again. I'm currently printing it out for verification purposes, but I will soon be uploading images as well - thank you so much to laurent_despeyroux for pointing that mistake out.\nQuick update: The print turned out fantastic today! Each module snugly fits into the next one perfectly - enjoy!
