Large lock-pick handle (designed for Sparrows picks)
thingiverse
I have large hands and find it easier to manage tools with handles that fit comfortably in my grasp. My go-to glove size is XL, which has led me to explore designs that accommodate bigger grips. Initially, I set out to create a handle for wiper blade inserts, but after acquiring some sparrow picks, I revised my design to suit them better. This new handle is designed to be printed in two halves and then bonded together using epoxy. It's undergone several refinements since its inception. My first approach was to craft a comfortable grip with moldable plastic that conforms to the shape of my hands. The initial design became my favorite pick, and I refined it by slimming down some areas. I deliberately left the corners unrounded and allowed the circles to extend beyond the edges to create a more textured feel that can be discerned through touch alone. I also plan to experiment with dipping these handles in plasti-dip once assembled, but they seem comfortable enough as is. Feel free to modify the design as needed; I've included the original Sketchup file for your reference. Due to time constraints, I won't be able to make custom adjustments for individuals.
