I'm quite pleased with how my large laptop stand turned out, especially considering it's a custom fit for my Dell 5501. However, I did encounter some issues with the original design that required me to make some adjustments. The parts were supposed to be glued together, but there was minimal guidance on how to do this, so I decided to take matters into my own hands. I redesigned the parts to snap together using a dovetail joint instead of glue. While it's still possible that some additional support might be needed depending on your print quality, I've managed to get away without any issues. To make the stand even more compact, I shortened the center bar to 195mm (excluding the joints), which allows me to fit the two sides snugly between the rubber feet of my laptop. When printing the center bar with zero tolerance, I found that it caused the side part to warp slightly out of shape. To avoid this problem, I tweaked the design by reducing the width of the center bar to 99% in Prusa Slicer and exported the result. This worked well for me, but your experience may vary. The original center bar, with a width of 31mm, is labeled as v1, while my modified version, with a width of 30.69mm, is marked as 99w.
