Large Hydrofoil Wing
thingiverse
Large mid aspect hydrofoil wing of approx 2050cm2 area. Designed to fit a Naish fuselage, but I can provide cad files if you want to modify this to your own fuselage. - Print mold for wing root, and make the reverse mould with carbon fibre. This enables a very thick & strong part with precise measurements for the fuselage mount - Print the wing pieces and glue them together, using the dowels as alignment plugs - Trim the moulded wing root to the size of the opening in the wing plug - Sand/score the print to encourage the epoxy to make a strong connection with the print - Layup with Carbon Fibre, vacuum bagging recommended This wing was designed for dock starting, with a profile designed for low speed lift and it works exceptionally well. Video here of the wing being ridden - https://youtu.be/4niO064YVmU
