Large Geode Stand

I designed this stand to cradle a massive cut Geode that I was gifted. It currently resides on the floor because I didn't want a heavy rock weighing down my glass-topped surfaces - what could possibly go wrong? Additionally, I avoided placing mineral directly in contact with my carpet, just in case it got damp or stained somehow. The result is essentially a half-circle base lined with carpet spikes. This setup easily supports dozens of pounds and can be scaled up as needed. It could also serve as a base for speakers or two smaller stands to hold pots, vases, and other decorative items.
