I created a custom Ghost design for a friend's birthday but decided to remix various components instead. The changes include: The Destiny logo is now detachable from the stand, allowing it to be printed in 2 separate colors with locating pins for precise alignment. The lens has been updated with a half-sphere at the rear to effectively diffuse light from the LED, enhancing its overall performance. The front and rear bodies are designed to snap together securely using magnets, providing a sturdy connection. The front body and rear dial have been adapted to accommodate 8-petal LED tealights, adding a unique visual effect. The horn has been repositioned to print flat on the bed, making it easier to produce. Someone else had previously remixed the bodies and dial for 8-petal tea lights and magnets, but their STLs were damaged and had lost resolution. I decided to recreate these components based on the original designs. When importing existing STL files into TinkerCad, it's helpful to scale them up to 1000% first, then reduce the size afterwards. This preserves more detail when the model is remeshed. Microsoft 3D Builder can also fix up STLs exported from TinkerCad with great results. To assemble this custom Ghost design, you'll need 6mmx1mm magnets for the body halves and other parts, which are identical to those used in the original large Ghost model.
