To rectify this predicament, I've crafted a series of trays - some designed for tool storage, others for cord containment - all aimed at bridging the gap between the workbench and the wall. Each tray boasts an identical footprint, allowing them to be rearranged as needed. Securely fastened by three screws, these trays share a uniform screw pattern, ensuring seamless integration. Furthermore, these versatile trays can function independently as tool organizers, easily relocatable to any desired spot. A parts tray with two compartments is also part of this solution.
