Large Computer Desk

This is a desk I designed specifically to house two PC systems, each with its own watercooling system. The motherboard and all other hardware will be mounted directly to the baseplate, while the top will be secured using hinges for easy access. To ensure proper airflow, the long and short runners of the system must be carefully designed, as well as sectioned into separate cooling zones, complete with water lines connecting to the water blocks. This is a basic design I came up with for a two-system setup, featuring a water pump, reservoir, and radiator for each PC on opposite sides of the desk, which explains the size of this design. The opening in the top is intended for a 1/4-inch thick piece of tempered glass. Although no static analysis has been performed, I would assume that loading around 50 pounds at the geometric center of the glass would provide a built-in safety factor of about 1/3 W, depending on where users place their arms when typing on the keyboard. Double this weight for two users typing simultaneously. Standards NGSS Overview and Background Purpose To design a desk that is sectional and modular, allowing for easy disassembly and reassembly to accommodate two liquid-cooled PC systems. Lesson Plan and Activity Design / Build The current design is quite simple because I wanted it to be open to change for anyone looking at doing something similar. It can serve as inspiration or even be built directly from the drawings provided. This is a quick "proof of concept" build I've done for a school project, and it's not intended to be aesthetically pleasing. I plan on building this myself, using some kind of hinge mechanism to secure the top and dividing the entire desk into two large sections with two subsections each. Each half will house one PC system as a whole, with a separate cooling section from all other hardware. This would essentially create a hot side and a cold side. Another consideration is providing additional support for the very large piece of glass or redesigning the top to reduce costs.
