Large Circle Tool / Cutter
thingiverse
I was eager to cut and draw some massive circles! This model is designed specifically for use with two 6mm steel rods, which are a typical size found in printers. Hopefully, you have some on hand that will fit perfectly. There are currently two attachments available - one holds a utility knife blade and the other accommodates a standard-sized sharpie. The pivot or pin mounts feature two options: one is fully printable, while the other requires a 3mm pin that I carefully sanded to a point using a Dremel tool. Markings on both the attachment and pivot mounts allow you to align a ruler, making it easy to mark out the exact size of circle you want to create. Both attachments and pivot mounts utilize 4mm bolts and nuts for secure tightening to the main rods. The utility knife blade holder requires a 3mm bolt that fits through one of the two grooves at the top of the blade. I will soon upload another set of designs tailored to fit common 5/16" or 8mm wooden rods available at hobby stores, as well as 4mm wooden rods for the pivot pin mount.
