Centrifugal pumps induce flow or raise a liquid from a low level to a high level. In operation, fluid enters the casing and drops onto the impeller blades at the eye of the impeller. It is then spun tangentially and radially outward until exiting into the diffuser section of the casing where it adjusts direction.
