Large Bobbin Holder
thingiverse
The original bobbin holder by PitRacer was unable to securely hold larger spools of thread, which had an oversized hole that compromised its effectiveness. This revised design is thinner and boasts a wider separation at the ends, allowing for improved stability. Printing in PETG yields excellent results, with minimal warping or deformation. While PLA prints are possible, they often exhibit noticeable memory, causing them to shrink slightly as they cool, resulting in an uneven spool that won't hold larger thread sizes. Impressively, initial tests suggest that PETG exhibits no such memory issues.
