large ball joint

Jasper1984 commented on his printed ball joints not holding firmly in place, which was an issue with my earlier model designed for smaller scale. To solve this problem, I created a new socket with adjustable tension using rubber bands. The earlier model can be found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:86194. This new model is larger and easier to mount. The socket has an indentation on the outside for holding a rubber band in place. Tightening the band increases hold strength, while a stronger band provides even tighter grip; however, apply the band after placing the ball in the socket to avoid damaging it. I enhanced the shaft's surface area for increased strength and added a second hole for more secure attachment. Print settings are 10% infill, two shells, and ABS at .27 slice thickness.
