Large and Strong Wall Bracket
thingiverse
Goal: Construct a robust wall bracket that consumes nearly my entire print bed (200mm x 200mm) and possesses sufficient strength to hold various materials against the wall. Result: A very sturdy wall mount capable of supporting timber, piping, and numerous other materials. I printed three of these brackets and spaced them approximately one meter apart. I used them to support some 3m lengths of decking timber, 3m lengths of steel piping, and 3m lengths of aluminum piping. To achieve optimal results, print slowly and utilize a high level of infill (50%) along with 3 or 4 vertical shells to reinforce the screw holes. Dimensions: * The wall-attachable side measures 110mm in height. * The material-receiving side is 160mm deep. * The bracket's thickness is 27.5mm. * The front lip, designed to prevent materials from rolling off the bracket, stands at 57.5mm. The four wall mount screw holes have a diameter of 5mm and a countersunk entry of 9mm, making them perfectly compatible with the screws below. Wall Mount: This design is optimized for use with 7G 30mm or 40mm plasterboard screws such as: * 7G 30mm - https://www.bunnings.com.au/zenith-7g-x-40mm-bugle-head-plasterboard-screws-100-pack_p2408723 * 7G 40mm - https://www.bunnings.com.au/zenith-7g-x-30mm-bugle-head-plasterboard-screws-100-pack_p2408715 There are four screw mount holes on the shelf side, each with a diameter of 4mm. These holes can be used to secure the timber shelf material to the bracket using 8G 20mm screws, such as: https://www.bunnings.com.au/zenith-8g-x-20mm-zinc-plated-hinge-long-thread-timber-screws-100-pack_p2434037 To print this design, lay it flat (use your slicer to rotate the object so it lies flat, no supports required).
