I've designed and built this Large FDM 3D Printer from scratch. Since it's wide open, I only use PLA filament for printing purposes. Initially, the frame had some wobbliness to it, so if you're planning on building one of these printers, I recommend reinforcing the frame for added stability. My next build will feature a sturdy steel frame filled with sand and utilize aluminum extrusion solely as rails, not structural components.
