Get your laptop off your desk! A compact design for mounting an open laptop to a wall. This versatile design accommodates Lenovo T410s mounted with screens wide open. There are two types of mounts available. A sturdy fixed mount with no moving parts, plus a removable retainer piece for easy removal of the laptop from the mount. If furry critters like to walk on your keyboard, this is the solution for you! Getting a wireless keyboard that can be turned on and off using a mouse also helps complete work and projects without much assistance. Made with FreeCad software, source files are provided as usual. Instructions: The infill print settings have been changed to over 30% which adds strength and durability. The part was designed to print on its side to handle tension from the laptop's weight. Use 1" wood screws when mounting to a desk. The brackets will securely fit laptops up to 2.5cm thick, perfect for Lenovo models at around 2.2cm. Print with a 3mm to 5mm brim depending on your ABS printing skills, or about an hour and a half per part on a Taz4 printer. After the print completes, pre-drill screw holes by gradually increasing from the inner diameter to the desired size of the screw's outer diameter. Avoid cracking ABS around holes when over-ambitious drilling progresses. Choose mounting spots carefully for DVD/CD drives or ports if they're frequently used. This design features separate top and bottom parts that fit snugly together without falling apart, but still easily detach by hand. However, print quality affects the fit's tightness. Before installing, practice assembly until you feel comfortable with how it works together.
