Laptop Tray Drawer and Mounts
cults3d
I use a laptop arm to keep my monitor at eye level and give me more desk space. There wasn't a convenient way to set up a docking station and backup drive. So I created these mounts which hold docking stations without blocking any ports. The docks can slide in and out of the mount when nothing is plugged in. The mounts can be rotated 90 degrees in any direction, so you can have the desired ports facing out and easily accessible. I also designed a drawer attachment which has space for batteries, usb drives, etc. The drawer slots into the mount, which will hold it in place when open or it can slide all the way out. There are quite a few laptop trays that use the same design including Huano, Vivo, and Wali. If the hole centers are 15mm apart, these mounts will fit. There are four different docking stations that I have designed mounts for: 1) Hiearcool USB C Hub Docking Station (Part Number: B07QNRM45T) 2) Giissmo USB 3.0/USB C Docking Station (Part Number: B09KBRLM79) 3) Lionwei USB 3.0/USB C Docking Station (Part Number: B08PV132WJ) 4) Giq USB 3.0/USB C Docking Station (Part Number: B08R9WZKFN) The backup drive mount fits 1 TB Seagate models STJW1000401 and SRD00F1. All mounts are designed to use 6-32 X 3/8 machine screws that sit flush with the laptop tray. The ones I used are Hillman flat head machine screws with part number 4055 (available on Amazon). Four are needed per mount.
