Laptop Stand with Hokusai Wave - 15", semi-permanent edition

To improve my original design, I realized that the first derivative did not work perfectly with a Macbook Pro 15". The hinge protruded from the far corner, causing the stand to lift when opened in a stand position. Thus, this revised version features a 30 cm long holding area, accommodating both 15" and 17" Macbook Pros. Additionally, it includes a cable guide hole cut to fit beneath the wave, reducing desk clutter. The design was re-done in qcad, with assistance from Illustrator master Stefan at Metalab. Notches on the file are tailored for 6mm thick plates; however, I used wood for aesthetically pleasing results.
