This is a laptop stand for the Lenovo Y700, crafted with precision to keep the sub-woofer unobstructed and the cooling intake completely clear. To bring this project to life, I turned to McMaster-Carr for all the necessary fasteners, which can be found below. B.O.M. (Bill of Materials) for fasteners: 12 - M3x0.5 length 25mm (22mm will also work) 18-8 SS Socket Head Screws from McMaster #91292A020 12 - M3x0.5 18-8 SS Nylon-Insert Locknuts from McMaster #93625A100 The lock nuts are designed to be pressed into the slots in the center pieces, which are sized nominally to provide a snug fit and require some force to push them in. I used small needle-nose pliers to make this task easier. After installing the nuts, before final assembly, thread the screws through to ensure that the nuts are properly aligned. Then, remove the screws for the final assembly. This stand glides effortlessly across slick surfaces, but I plan to add some felt or rubber padding for extra grip and stability.
