I got fed up with having peripherals like hard drives all over my desk, so I sat down and designed this in Fusion 360 - be gentle, it's one of my first designs! It's designed to hold a couple of 2 1/2" portable hard drives and a larger Le Cie Porsche drive in the bays underneath it. I printed this in PLA and broke it up to fit the bed of a Flashforge Creator Pro. Assemble using glue that's right for the material you're working with. The lap top holder came from one I designed for the top of the Anet A8, so it also has that capability. Of course, you'll need to print two of those for either version. The drive bays are open on both ends to make ventilation easy. TIP: Even when printing using PLA, it has a strong tendency to warp! The only way I found to beat that is to print it on a raft with a bed temp of 75 degrees. Use a separation between the raft and part of .15. That let the print come out perfect without any warping and made the raft easy to remove while still keeping the part anchored to the bed. I highly recommend these settings, but you know your printer. Of course, because of the long throw across the top, supports are needed inside the part. Printed using Simplify 3D, 10% infill, 10% support fill. No support is needed for the lap top rack itself.
