Since getting into 3D printing, making custom stands and holders for everyday items has been a blast. My latest project is no exception - it's a custom stand for my trusty Surface Book that dramatically cuts down on desk space. I'm excited to share this design because it was specifically crafted with remixing in mind. The stand consists of two parts: an inner shell and an outer shell. The idea is simple yet genius - users can create their own inner shells to fit different laptop models, making the outer shell a versatile base that's compatible with various devices. I drew inspiration from my previous project, the Ultimate iPhone dock remix, where I received numerous requests for additional customizations. This time around, I wanted to design something that would give users more control over their creations.
