Laptop Stand
thingiverse
My laptop is poorly ventilated due to subpar airflow circulation, prompting me to create an adjustable stand that could provide better air circulation for my device in just a few hours. Printer Settings: Printer Brand: Ultimaker Printer: Ultimaker 2 Rafts: No Supports: No Infill: 20% Notes: I maintained the shell thickness at 0.8 mm, a setting used in previous prints, but would consider increasing it to around 1.0 mm for future enhancements. The first half of the print took approximately 7 hours and 20 minutes to complete. Post-Printing: Connecting the halves I aimed to create a quick, easy-to-assemble stand that's customizable and portable, hence I omitted rods from the design. Although not essential, adding 1/4" wooden dowel rods or steel rods would enhance stability and weight, making it less likely to tip over. Custom Section: For larger laptops If you have an oversized laptop like mine, which measures 18.5 inches, it might be prone to tipping when open. If possible, scale up the design accordingly. I increased the size of this version by 25%, adjusting the length and height (X and Y axes) while maintaining other settings intact. The new holes now measure 5/16" in diameter.
