Add a shelf to your workstation with ease using a piece of tubing and printed brackets. The shelf is perfect for laptops, desktop synthesizers, and similar items. I designed this for my IKEA Micke corner table (http://www.ikea.com/no/no/catalog/products/50244741/). All parts attach with snap-on clamps from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:132311, allowing the table to be removed easily if needed. The 3D printed parts are all easy to print. You will need - 2 x wall bracket with tube clamp on top. Note that one of these should be printed mirrored, as it has clamps angled at 45 degrees and attaches to the opposite side. - 6 x tube clamp - 1 x tube cap with a small rectangular hook - 1 x cradle for that hookInstructions are below, compare them with the included pictures: 1. Measure your tubing - I used one about 13 mm in diameter, but you may need to scale the 3D models to fit what you have. Different printers and filaments can have varying tolerances too. 2. Cut the tube into two pieces: one 80 cm long, one 30 cm long (or whatever fits your corner desk). 3. Print "tube cap with hook" and press it onto one end of the short piece of tubing. It should fit snugly. 4. Print 6 tube clamps and attach them in a T underneath the wooden board (see picture). 5. Snap the long and short tube parts into place on the board. 6. Screw the "wall brackets with clamps" onto the inside walls left and right on your desk, about 22 cm above the table. 7. Click the long tube onto the wall brackets. 8. Print "cradle for tube cap" and screw it onto the corner beam (see picture), then place the hook on the short tube into the cradle. You're done!
