I'm making rubber feet for my laptop because the original ones were nowhere to be found. I figured, why not make a pair myself? It's a quick process that takes less than 10 minutes and it saves you from dealing with overheating and scratching issues. Just apply them using silicone adhesive or double-sided tape, but use some force to secure them in place so they don't slip around horizontally.
