Laptop Monitor Arm Mount

Laptop VESA mount adapters for attaching a laptop to a monitor arm are available in multiple versions. One version is specifically designed for the 2013 Retina MacBook Pro, while generic ones are suitable for thinner laptops with a base thickness of about 12mm or less and thicker laptops with a base thickness of 15mm or less. I have only printed and used the adapter designed for the MacBook Pro. I have successfully attached it to both an Ergotron LX Monitor Arm and a North Bayou Monitor Arm. The Ergotron arm offers a wider range of motion and positions, but the North Bayou arm is significantly cheaper. To ensure smooth operation, the VESA screw locations are carefully positioned to avoid interfering with the movement of the Ergotron arm. To assemble the adapter, you will need four M4 flathead screws and four nuts, preferably wingnuts.
