Description

I wanted something that could elevate my MacBook Pro 13" while letting me close the lid. Many other “elevators” hooked onto the sides of the laptop, preventing the screen from closing.

Version 1: a simple rounded bar, width just perfect for 13" MacBook Pro, takes ~2 hours to print at 0.2mm and 10% infill

Version 2: a more optimized version, reduces print time almost in half (~1 hour) and saves 7 grams of filament compared to version 1

I've included the PrusaSlicer files which include anchors to keep the bar adhered without using a brim, which in my opinion is harder to cut away cleanly. There are also modifier slabs in v2 in case you want to play with zero perimeters to reduce material use even more.

Print settings

Printer: MK3S+ (Prusa mini may not be large enough, check your laptop dimensions)

Supports: none

Infill: I used 10%, you can try different infill

Resolution: up to you

Material: tested PLA, PETG
