Laptop DVD drive external case

This project is still a work in progress, but I'm excited about its potential. I designed this case because I couldn't find one that met my needs. It doesn't expose the drive's SATA interface, instead relying on you to add a SATA to USB controller and a female USB connector. The case is also secured with M3 screws. If your old laptop has stopped working, don't throw it away just yet - keep the drive! They're becoming scarce in newer machines and are still useful from time to time. Here's what I need to do next: * Add the front panel * Push the rear screws further back for a better seal * Round the corners for easier portability * Adjust the rear thickness for smoother printing and cleaner IO hole placement * Integrate the USB connector with pegs or stops instead of glue (I might skip this step unless you request it) To bring this project to life, you'll need: * A mini SATA to USB adapter (check out this one: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33032998495.html) * A female USB type mini B, C, or micro B connector (take a look at this option: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000390028382.html) * Four M screws (8mm length works well) I'm not in a hurry to finish this project since it meets my current needs as is. If you're waiting for me to complete it, please let me know! I just wanted to share my progress with you since it's already pretty functional.
