While out Christmas shopping, I took my shiny new HP Spectre 360 with me, eager to squeeze in some modeling time while the wife was busy browsing. However, as often happens when kids are involved, they started melting down and I found myself forgetting about my trusty laptop stashed safely away in the stroller. When it was time to fold up the stroller, disaster struck - my laptop took an unplanned detour onto the pavement. Needless to say, this encounter left me feeling more than a little frustrated, so I decided to head home and get creative. I set out to design some protective covers for the corners of my laptop, ones that would safeguard it during transit. Using PETG filament with 50% infill, I printed them out, knowing they wouldn't be perfect but would do the job. A slight press fit onto the laptop ensured a snug fit. In time, I may revisit this design and add some exciting features - perhaps plugging into the HDMI port and power port, or incorporating a living hinge that allows for easy gluing on.
