When I'm not at my desk, and need to join a Webex meeting, I use a workaround for my Roger Pen when there's no docking station available. To prevent damage to the pen's clip, I've designed an extra attachment that fits snugly over the laptop lid, allowing me to place it on top of my computer without compromising its integrity. This solution is specifically tailored for ultrabooks like the Dell XPS 13, which have thinner lids. However, it won't work with laptops having thicker lids, such as my Thinkpad W540 - but feel free to modify the included SketchUp file if you need an adaptation for a different laptop model. To enhance stability and prevent slipping, I've used a small piece of thin rubber from old stamped feet on the back of the clip. You might want to consider doing the same for a more secure fit.
