lapel microphone clip
thingiverse
I've created another remix of a lapel clip, but this version requires printing with supports that can't be cleaned up properly. I deliberately design my prints without supports to ensure they meet my standards. If you're downloading my content, you know my policy: "I will not support supports - absolutely refuse." If you're using ABS material, print the spring separately and set the fill to solid; otherwise, it breaks easily. The microphone setup pictured is a sports headphone mic set I found at Walmart in their clearance section for $3. It works great or as good as a lapel mic because they didn't have any other type available. The hinge parts still need filing to fit properly and I couldn't perfect that. However, the best way I've found to assemble the device is by putting one side together first, then sliding in the second part from the front. It's nerve-wracking thinking it will break during assembly, but surprisingly, it goes together just fine.
