Lap joint box

Lap joint box

This exercise focuses on joints for seamless assembly. It's beneficial to adjust size to ensure proper fitment of components. Initially, I printed the first two parts individually, which surprisingly fitted well due to curved design and utilized .2 raft. However, cleaning support for thin sections was challenging, prompting reorientation and simultaneous printing of all four. Despite minor cleanup, these parts also connected successfully, albeit not as perfectly as initial pair. The wall thickness is 0.1 inches (2.5mm), while laps have half the width at 0.05 inches. To facilitate sharing, I included Solidworks 2011 files in a zip folder using 'Pack and Go' feature. Assembling involves printing, cleaning, and connecting the parts.
