Lao Erawan Set (stand, statue, parasol)
thingiverse
This is a reinterpretation of YahooJAPAN's Elephant. The pre-communist Royal Lao flag featured a majestic three-headed elephant Erawan, one face forward and the other two in profile facing outward, standing proudly on a stepped pedestal beneath a parasol. To create a three-dimensional piece, I added an extra head to make sure at least two faces are visible from any angle, with most views revealing all three. This intricate design combines three essential elements: the base stand, the statue itself, and the majestic parasol. The stand features deliberate dents for the statue's feet, while small holes in both the center of the pedestal and the legs facilitate the use of an alignment wire for stability. Two strategic holes are also present - one at the top center of the design and another at the bottom of the parasol. These openings enable the use of a thin wire or stick to secure the parasol in place, ensuring it maintains its desired position and height.
