Snap clip for standard 20mm wide lanyard strap and ID badge. Prints clean with no additional supports required. Reliable and secure.2023-10-19 update | added wider version: Lanyard-Clip-3-cards-wide-2C01-0_MatthewGTaylor.STL. This will hold 3 cards stacked together.Original file renamed to Lanyard-clip-original_MatthewGTaylor.STL and rotated to default to the best orientation for printing. Notes | Works well in most materials - I use PETG for high temperature because I leave it in the car.Orient on its side as shown before slicing using, prints well in this orientation with no additional supports required. There are a couple of small supports designed in to be cut out after printing. For little parts like this I find it can be a good idea to print a couple at a time to allow adequate cooling for each layer.Post Printing | After printing, cut the X shaped support out between the two cylinders and cut the small triangular fin out of the side of the clearance cut (see picture). Cut or remove any ring that is in the lanyard loop. Slip the lanyard loop through the slot and around the cylindrical posts on both sides. To insert or remove the badge, turn it up so the so it's upside down and slide the badge out through the gap. Designed in Solidworks.
