Lantern chain with neopixel
thingiverse
IN PROGRESS - models are thoroughly tested, but PCB and instructions are still being finalized. A colleague of mine approached me with a beautifully crafted wooden lantern that took him hours to complete. We decided to create a model and print it! After several prototypes, we achieved this solution and brought it to you. Inside each lantern is a WS2812C LED (5mA) that's chained into the strip and controlled by an Arduino board. To complete the project, there's also a need to solder SMD LEDs onto connectors. I used a custom-made PCB for this purpose. You can see photos from the building process in the accompanying images. Finally, a wire chain needs to be created and properly connected to the guiding Arduino board.
