Lantern featuring a vibrant LED tea light within, easily accessible through a compartment beneath. The tea light itself measures 37 mm in diameter and 45 mm in height. Initially, I envisioned using transparent or natural PLA for the glass panels, but due to a shortage, I opted for photochromatic material instead. This special plastic transforms into a soothing light blue hue when exposed to sunlight while still allowing the tea light's glow to shine through. To bring this design to life, six identical frames were printed, each comprising glass and pins. Support structures were strategically applied only to the top layer to ensure a smooth print process. Once assembled, a strong adhesive was used to secure the pieces together. The finished lantern stands at an impressive 190 mm in height with a diameter of 15 mm. It's essential to insert the tea light into its designated space before attaching the upper section. To maintain a sleek appearance, no infill material was applied to the glass panels.
