LANTERN
cults3d
The idea behind this project came from buying a set of battery powered t-light candles. The candle is held in place by a disk secured with super glue before the glass and top, which is part of an old water bottle, are glued together. STL files have been uploaded for both the top as one single piece and as separate parts. This was done because I dislike using supports, feeling that they can sometimes be unnecessary and wasteful in terms of filament usage. To avoid having to print with supports, I often look for alternative ways to assemble parts, even if it means gluing them together manually. Those who prefer not to glue parts together can use the top as one single piece that will require supports during printing. Unfortunately, my current print quality is subpar due to ongoing issues with my printer. I'm only just starting to see improvements in my prints, so please refrain from commenting on the print quality shown in the picture. Update: When assembling this project, I found out that super glue wouldn't adhere to the water bottle plastic. As a result, I had to switch to using hot glue for gluing the parts together.
