Debris-covered terminus of Langgletscher dominates the Lötschental landscape in Valais, Switzerland. Captured as part of a University of Cambridge Part IB Undergraduate field trip in 2019. Acquired on September 26th, 2019 using a DJI Phantom 3 Advanced drone. A double grid mission at 70 meters above ground level (~2.7 centimeters ground sampling distance) was carefully planned using Pix4d software. One hundred forty-six high-quality images were successfully captured. Twelve precise ground control points were established using post-processed kinematic GPS technology, facilitated by a Leica rover and ground station. Processed in Agisoft Metashape Professional 1.5.1, the final product resolution was 2.7 centimeters: the model was decimated to 500,000 faces and 8192 pixels texture before being uploaded to SketchFab.
