Another world, another time. In the Age of Wonder, where rocky cliffs of the Claw Motions rise and high marshes meet the Black river's flow, the Landstriders stand tall among Thar's creatures. These towering giants, as alien as they come, are known for willing aid to any Gelfings with know-how, making them the ideal choice for swift travel. Their diet consists mainly of a special kind of nectar from nearby towering flowers, which they suck out and digest using their extendable mouth fliers. Though peaceful, Landstriders become fierce when threatened by imposing size and speed that makes them a considerable threat. They can spit acidic juices at an enemy, causing severe injury. Only creatures on Thar with unexplained hatred for Garthium Soldiers are the Landstriders, who will attack any lone Garthium spotted too close and leave it crippled before it knows what's happening. This model was created based on concept art by Brian Froud from Jim Henson's mind. Several images showed the look and design of these creatures to make a print stand on its own once finished. I may revisit this creation to improve detail and create a more hairy look for the Landstriders.
