The Veluws Museum is located at Hagedoorns Plaatse - Landslede. Dating: 1890-1920. These landsleds were used by farmers to access the land during wet periods when it was difficult to reach, yet still manage to cultivate with a plow and horse. After 1910, for instance in Epe, soggy grounds were cultivated for use by large farming operations. The landslede was particularly necessary on these soggy grounds. The sleigh was also universally applicable and was used, for example, to transport hay from the haystack to the farm. Since the heirs and roads were hardly paved at the time, the landslede was an essential tool for farmers.
