Landroid Wheel

2020-05-01 Update: The wheels are now printed. I adjusted the tires to minimize overhang angle issues, but they still had some problems printing. Thankfully, the print finished, and I'm eager to test them out for a while now. During my first run on wet grass, they seem to work fine. They're slightly more slippery than the spiked wheels I previously used, which is expected. Only time will tell if they perform better long-term. My previous attempt at Landroid wheels (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3602019) left some things to be desired. Although they provided good traction in grassy areas, they accumulated leaves during autumn and left noticeable tracks along the boundary wire. Given the popularity of MadMax RC tires (see https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2457236), I decided to create something similar. These wheels are a two-part print where the tires must be printed with flex filament and the rims in a solid material. Additionally, you can attach original wheel sides to prevent grass accumulation. I'm still printing these wheels, so proceed with caution and print them at your own risk. They may change in the near future. If you decide to print these wheels, please leave a comment and provide feedback. I'd also be thrilled to see a photo of your print!
