Landroid Wheel

2020-05-01 Update: Have got the wheels printed now. Adjusted the tires to reduce the overhang angle, but they still had some issues printing. However, the print finished and I'll try them out for a while now. For the first run in wet grass they seem to work OK. A bit more slippery than the spiked wheels I had previously, but that's to be expected. Will see if they work better long term. My previous attempt at Landroid wheels (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3602019) left some things to be desired. They had good traction in the grass, but got full of leaves in autumn and left quite significant tracks along the boundary wire. As the MadMax RC tires (see https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2457236) are quite popular I've given it a shot at creating something similar. These wheels are a two part print where the tires are to be printed in some kind of flex filament and the rims in a solid material. It's also possible to attach the original wheel sides to prevent the wheels to get full of grass. I'm still printing these, so proceed with caution and print them at your own risk, they may likely change in the near future. If you print these, please leave a comment and give me feedback. I'd also be really happy to see a photo of your print!
