Although the original design by **@mrfochs** is incredibly well thought and easy to print and assemble, i had quite a hard time with the slider system, that was too tight to slide without breaking the (fragile) cocking stem glued onto it. I thus decided to recreate the piece in Fusion 360 so i could tweak both the inside and outside diameter to **increase the printing tolerance** and allow the piece to slide flawlessly between the inner and outter shells. ***Side note*** *: I printed the slider horizontally instead of vertically to increase the plastic strengh in the sliding direction. I just needed a bit of sanding to remove the supports artifacts, but worked pretty well in the end.* ------------------- I also redesigned a bit the **cocking stem** so you can countersink the flat screw head to prevent it from blocking the sliding translation from the inside. It also makes the glueing process easier and (in my opinion) more efficient. Let me know if this worked for you as well as it worked for me... and feel free to iterate on the design with the Fusion 360 files included in the project !
