Landing Skids (Collapsible)

Collapsible landing skids designed specifically for a mini-h frame drone, offering optimal protection for the propellers when launched and during transportation through wet or snowy environments. Originally conceived as an integral feature for the BAH Nemesis, this adaptable design enables seamless adjustment by tweaking the length of 3mm CF rods, aluminum tubes, or bamboo skewers. Secure these attachments with basic nylon cable clamps, firmly gripping onto arm bolts for maximum stability. Rigidity and support can be significantly enhanced through creative addition of a custom-made frame surrounding the skids. The necessity of additional leg tubing, however, may be completely obviated when this approach is employed effectively. Required Additional Hardware Components: - M4 or M3 screws, along with matching washers and hex nuts - High-quality 3mm CF rods or robust aluminum tubes - Optionally employ readily available bamboo skewers to accurately determine optimal skid lengths Precise Hardware Configurations for the Nemesis model: 6mm leg components (eight pieces) 12.5mm hinge tube pieces (two) 15mm bottom pieces (two) Utilize high-grade hot glue or reliable epoxy compounds as preferred binding materials. Instructions for Printing the Collapsible Landing Skids: Firstly, select and download the desired hinge / clamp type to match existing frame hardware components, preferably either M3 or M4 attachment points. Additionally, specify an optimal STL orientation for your prints to yield the strongest structure feasible within given printing parameters. For Easy Installation: Adopt pre-existing arm mounting solutions when securing arms in place, alternatively create fresh holes according to necessity Ergonomically couple the two upper parts (mark these with their pairing labels: "Top" and "Bottom") by aligning corresponding identifiers visible on either part (the symbol on one of each flange piece must align with its complement's corresponding label). As you do this, conduct an essential test run, dry-fitting all pertinent leg pieces prior to assembling. To secure these together once fitted properly: Use strategically placed dots on flanges (oriented outwards towards outer surface) which mark positions suitable for binding using adhesive or chemical compounds like hot glue or epoxy. Next step in completing this skid design: ensure precise alignment when inserting the cable clamps into position over the pins while keeping the side featuring curved shape consistently aligned with the face. Attach each skid piece separately. Mount this new attachment on existing structure hardware components as seamlessly as possible. If arm holes are too narrow, a fresh drilling task can always be initiated in advance of finishing these prints or making preparations prior to its deployment during flight
