Important Note - Design Update: (1-4-2018) After crashing three days ago, tabs where screws pass through were severed and had to be reworked. I'll fly a newly printed version next week. As soon as I obtain sturdy legs without cracking around screw holes, I'll post the updated model online. To improve current designs, consider printing with significantly increased fill percentages, up to 90%, or higher than my original 40%. Also, boost Z-scale to ensure optimal strength and stability. Still, I believe reworked top pieces are essential. This is a newly designed version for Armattan's 330 quadcopter- FPV Rev2 landing legs, utilizing Taulman 618 nylon filament for its unique durability and resilience properties. Due to moderate flight skill level, original landing pegs frequently broke during impact; these revised legs hold up better with increased flying intensity. Key adjustment - you may opt to increase Z-axis size for a sturdier construction. Nylon's superior quality withstands forceful landings much more effectively than semi-flexible or brittle PLA materials, rendering it an optimal choice for shock absorption during touchdowns. Nylon provides cushioning and helps distribute stress over a longer period, ultimately enhancing structural resilience. Design Feature: I incorporated an innovative lock mechanism which secures these landing legs onto arms with pre-fitted 3mm screws, paired with thoroughly cleaned locknuts visible in provided photos. Prior to installation, identify and drill that single necessary hole for accurate fitment. Important Tips For Enhanced Performance: * Apply a brim when printing to keep the model adhered securely on the printer's bed. * Print using RepRap, Prusa I3 specifications as outlined below: **Print Settings** * **Printer**: RepRap * Prusa I3 * * **Supports**: No * Resolution: 0.2 mm * Infill: 40% **Special Notes:** As mentioned previously, applying a brim during printing has been a proven solution in maintaining proper bed adherence for my Taulman 618 nylon filament prints on the Prusa I3 printer model; this brim also serves as a beneficial aid after the completion of printing for efficient and easy removal.
