I created the steel wire landing gear for my FT-Storch aircraft on FliteTest.com, only to discover that I'm not skilled enough at bending it to meet specifications. As a result, the plane would have rolled unevenly down the runway, which would have been disastrous when attempting to land it at high speed. Being more adept at printing simple objects than bending steel, I designed these printed landing gear legs as an alternative solution. These new legs weigh about 30-40 grams more than the standard ones, but that's a relatively minor penalty for an aircraft of this size. If you downloaded the files before October 19th, 2014, I've updated them to include a small hole for the zip-tie that secures the axle to the legs, eliminating the need to drill one manually.
