Landing gear for B737
thingiverse
I created improved landing gear for Zydac's B737 model, drawing inspiration from just two photos to make it look more realistic. My design doesn't aim to be a scale model of the real one, but rather takes its cues from those images. In the future, I might add some gear doors and non-gear related flap tracks to enhance the overall appearance. To ensure my design fits comfortably with most printers, I modeled it to work seamlessly with a 150% version of the plane. For mounting the cylinder, I took precise measurements and scaled them to fit various planes. The model you see in my photos was printed without any support, using a 0.2 layer thickness and a 0.8 nozzle diameter. After printing, I made some minor adjustments to fine-tune the design. Here are the print settings I used: Printer: Tevo Tarantula Rafts: None Supports: None Resolution: 0.2 Notes: 0.8 nozzle, no supports. While adding a raft or brim can help keep the part stable during printing, it worked perfectly without them in my case.
