I designed this 3D model originally with Sketchup 8 and then successfully converted it into all other 3D formats. The native format remains .skp while the 3ds Max scene utilizes 2016 version, rendering was accomplished with Vray 3.00. You may recall my earlier creation of low-poly landing gear, which unfortunately turned out to be a failure! However, I revisited WilliamT's well-crafted Airbus A380 Singapore Airlines landing gear and have uploaded it as a standalone model for you. To utilize this model, simply download, right-click, select Explode, and then delete the extraneous component. Easy enough! I would appreciate your rating and feedback regarding my efforts! If you're unfamiliar with what landing gear is, here's a brief explanation: Landing gear refers to the aircraft undercarriage that supports the vehicle on the ground and facilitates taxiing, takeoff, and landing. It typically incorporates wheels equipped with shock absorbers for smooth landings, though other surfaces such as skids, skis, or floats may be deployed depending on the terrain. Landing gear represents a substantial yet critical part of an aircraft's overall weight, comprising up to 7%25 of takeoff weight in some cases.
