Land Rover Chassis

thingiverse

I'm building a chassis for the Austar 1/10 D90, and I sourced my parts from Banggood. The running gear is borrowed from tahustvedt's monster truck on Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2299884). I still need to add the front/rear frames and battery mount. I've included my CV joints, axles, and side gears for the diffs, but you'll also need the rest of the diff parts and center gearbox from tahustvedt's Monster Truck. To connect the gearbox to the diffs, I made CV joint drive shafts, which are available in my stuff, but the ball ends might require updating to v3 ones (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2299884). I completed this project ages ago, but it took me a while to get proper internet or PC time to upload anything. I added a battery mount to the frame, designed to fit my 2s 4000mah lipos made from a turnigy 4s I had lying around, and there's still room to accommodate bigger batteries if needed. On January 21st, I reduced the axle size by 0.2mm for easier installation. I started making body mounts, which should be finished soon. I also added diff-locks in the same style as the diff side gears. On January 22nd, I completed new chassis ends with front/rear bumpers and body mounts. I'll probably have a clean-out of old files soon. By January 23rd, I was pretty much done. I added Burgerpocket's Bull Bar and Winch Bumper (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:860200), modified to fit. I might find or make a back bumper soon. I'll add some pics on how to chop the back of the floor pan. The back a-arm just hits the battery, so I'm thinking about moving the pivot point the same as the front one. On January 24th, I added a rear bumper and made my front bumper slightly taller. I also installed a towball/bar and clip-on back mount (the latter might be too hard to get the body on with the holes). By February 20th, I had a new frame v5 and ends. This one is simpler and can fit a larger battery. The rear top arm was lowered to avoid hitting the battery, and the top shock mount holes were removed for better body clearance. Now, the body sits closer to the frame. On February 21st, I made the holes in the v5 frame ends smaller. By February 24th, I added bigger guard flairs. On September 5th, I installed magnet body mounts. They're much quieter than the clip-on ones. Finally, on September 20th, I updated my flairs.
