Sixteen Lancia IZ/Izm armored cars were dispatched to Spain during the Spanish Civil War and were operated by the Corpo Truppe Volontarie (Volunteer Troops Corps, or CVT). These outdated vehicles performed poorly against the Russian-made BA-3/6 armored cars used by the Republic's army.
