Lance beak, Wareg - Creatures of Honagrion
cults3d
Roaming in packs the sun-scorched lands of the North are the Wareg, also known as Lance bird, these creatures are not actually birds, but rather a remnant of a long-ago extinct lineage of non-avian dinosaurs; they stand 8 to 9 feet tall, standing tall on powerful leg that end in clawed feet, each of this claws as sharp as any good dagger, and at the top of their mighty frames stands a muscular neck and their fearsome beak, so big that a man's head could disappear inside of it in one big bite; the Wareg uses his powerful beak and his sharp talon to prey on everything it considers food, rapidly approaching it in the blink of an eye and rendering it to shreds in a blind fury of bites and slashes, not before stabbing it, beak first, with a powerful headbutt. As intimidating as this animal may be, the Wareg is actually incredibly stupid, his evolution did not gift it the blessing of intelligence, therefore they can be easily scared off with loud noises or display of strength, but at the same time, if someone is crazy and brave enough to try and tame one of them, they can become fierce and brave mounts, aiding in battle and capable of covering mind-blowing distances in the span of minutes; some say that the savage tribes of the Burnt North are actually breeding these animals for taming, some other say that the incursions on the northernmost iron mines of the dwarves have increased since; strategists and generals take very much care with such rumors, as these might be the first signs of something terrible coming down on the civilized world. Model sculpted in Blender. Avaible for free in 28, 35 and 75mm scale pre-supported as well as the model without supports, also with a monster-sheet for D&D 5e.
