Lampshade v.5
thingiverse
Next version of lampshade from me, inspired by the delicate lily that blooms in a valley flower. The lampshade consists of two separate parts: the main body and a washer. This design allows for a secure fixation without damaging the fragile body. Update: February 18, 2016 Old washer files have been deleted to make way for two new ones uploaded specifically for E14 and E27 lampholders. To assemble the lampshade, simply print two copies of the required size and place them between the washer and main body. Print Settings: Printer: Wanhao Duplicator i3 Rafts: Not necessary Supports: None needed Resolution: 0.2 mm Notes: Main Body: Shell thickness: 0.4 mm (single layer) Bottom layer thickness: 0.0 mm Spiral mode (vase) In Cura's Expert Settings, select "Keep open faces." Washer: Shell thickness: 0.8 mm (two layers) Bottom layer thickness: 1.0 mm Post-Printing: Clean-up is essential after printing the lampshade. Those bridges created by the spiral mode must be removed using a suitable tool to avoid damaging the delicate shell. I used nippers and a rotary tool like Dremel, being careful not to damage the 0.4 mm thick shell. The same operation will be required for the washers.
